The spermatic ducts are an intricate part of sperm storage and transport. Their basic responsibility is to contain the sperm cells until they are ready to be transported from the testes to the urethra. They are responsible for the transport to the urethra as well. Semen does not form in these ducts, but rather semen is formed via the accessory sex organs, the reproductive glands. These glands create additional additives in order to create the full blown semen, which occurs when the sperm is combined with the created additives.
