Clonistada review

Clonistada is an antihypertensive medicament that can help patients deal with psychological bouts and is effective in children with ADHD, but needs to be taken properly to maintain efficiency and safety.

Clonistada acts as an a2 adrenergic agonist. Generally used to treat high blood pressure by stimulating brain receptors to relax blood vessels in the body, it is also used to treat Tourette's syndrome, neuropathic pain, sleep hyperhydrosis and opioid detoxification. Clonistada can be used with stimulants to treat ADHD. Its effects on moderate ADHD-associated oppositional and impulsive behavior are helpful in managing tics.

Clonistada is also known by the brand names Catapres and Dixarit and comes in a tablet, an injectable via epidural and transdermal patches. Parasympathetic activity results through central nervous system actions. A patient's heart rate can significantly decrease with continued use of the medicament. Other uses of Clonistada include treating migraine cephalalgias, menopausal hot flashes, alcohol withdrawal symptoms, smoking cessation symptoms and ulcerative colitis.

Side effects can be mild, moderate or severe. Contact your physician immediately if any of these symptoms become severe: dry mouth, dizziness, drowsiness, fatigability, cephalalgia, constipation, nervousness, decreased libido, upset stomach, rash and vomiting. Other serious side effects include fainting, slow or rapid heartbeat, arrhythmia, swollen feet or ankles and allergic symptoms like facial and lips swelling, breathing difficulty and hives. Other side effects include orthostatic hypotension, xerostomia and tolerance to Clonistada.

Special precautions are to be taken with pregnant women and nursing mothers. Patients about to undergo surgery, including dental procedures, should inform their physician that they are taking this medicament to avoid bleeding complications. Patients allergic to the medicament should not take it and patients with a history of kidney disease, myocardial infarction, stroke and coronary artery disease should talk with their physician first before taking Clonistada. The medicament may result in adverse interactions if the patient is also taking beta blockers, sleeping pills, and a number of supplements, vitamins and herbal medicines.

Clonistada is an a-adrenergic receptor agonist and has more affinity for a2 compared to a1. Receptors in the brain are selectively stimulated by the medicament. These receptors are responsible for monitoring catecholamine levels in the blood. This stimulation causes the receptors to think that levels of catecholamine are higher than they are. The result is a reduction of catecholamine production and blood levels through relaxation and widening of blood vessels.

A survey of 35 children with FXS who were treated with Clonistada showed significant improvement in sleep disturbances, motor tics and hyperactivity. 63% of parents reported overall improvement in their child's condition, 20% reported minor improvement, 11% reported their child's condition became worse while 6% reported no noticeable effect. There were a number of exacerbated symptoms as well, including anxiety and sleep disturbances.

Clonistada is a prescription medicament and should only be purchased from legitimate and verified pharmacies and physicians' clinics. The tablets and patches are also available online but consumers should check the source and manufacturer first to ensure freshness and authenticity of the products.

Patients should watch out for symptoms of Clonistada overdose such as lethargy, lightheadedness, vomiting and drowsiness. The dosage should be taken as prescribed by your physician. The medicament should not be stopped abruptly even if the patient's condition becomes better. The medicament may need to be taken for life by those patients suffering from chronic high blood pressure for maintenance. Store the medicament at room temperature away from sunlight, heat and moisture.
