Hydrocodone review

Hydrocodone is an antitussive and narcotic analgesic. This drug is taken orally and is widely available in capsule, tablet or syrup and is often combined with other drugs such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen, and guaifenesin. The main purpose of this drug is to cure coughs since it is a medium-strength analgesic and one of the strongest cough suppressants. This drug was created in Germany in 1920 and was first marketed in the US in 1943.

While the substance itself is used to cure coughs primarily, since this drug is commonly combined with other drugs, hydrocodone containing products are also likely to cure other conditions such as muscle pain, headache, dental pains, and some say even cancer.

This is a widely marketed drug and is available in drugstores anywhere however in order to get it, one would commonly need a prescription; hydrocodone can be taken by anyone who experiences symptoms that the drug can treat; these symptoms which would include cough, muscle pains, and toothaches. If not used as advised, hydrocodone can easily bring about side effects. Mild side effects of the drug would include light headedness, dizziness, euphoria, hearing loss, constipation, getting fatigued easier, mood swings, anxiety, respiratory problems and itching.

Severe side effects that this drug could bring about would be blood disorders and acute emesis. These side effects have been commonly observed on people who abuse this drug.

Increase water intake when taking this drug to prevent constipation and if possible, try to increase fiber in your regular diet.

This drug should not be taken with significant amounts of alcohol, barbiturates, cocaine, amphetamines, benzodiazapines, and methylphenidate. Mixing hydrocodone with the drugs specified above can bring about a lot of serious cases such as heart failures, kidney failures, pulmonary failure, jaundice, seizures, and even comatose.
