When you develop a disease known as arthritis, the joints in the affected part of your body become inflamed. This makes movement very painful. People who have arthritis find it very difficult to go about their daily activities because of this crippling condition.

There are a lot of steps with which you can manage the symptoms of arthritis. Drugs are available over-the-counter, or pain-relieving medications that your doctor may prescribe. These medicines can be nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that ease symptoms of pain and inflammation, but these drugs can have a lot of side effects like gastric irritations, asthma and allergic skin rashes.

There are also alternative remedies available to treat arthritis. Some of these remedies involve using natural methods or taking natural-based medications that do not have the side effects of chemically manufactured drugs.

One of these natural remedies can be found in Rumalaya, an arthritis treatment trio that comes in tablet, capsule and gel-form: Rumalaya tablets, Rumalaya forte capsules and Rumalaya gel. These medications are manufactured and distributed by Himalaya Herbal Healthcare, an herbal medicine company that offers treatment alternatives based on Ayurvedic medicine. Ayurvedic medicine is an ancient Eastern traditional form of healing from India, which believes that healing benefits can come from the plants, animals and minerals in nature.

Arthritis is usually brought about by age, or due to other factors like climate, a fast-paced lifestyle, unhealthy work habits or repetitive movement of a body part. Rumalaya tablets and Rumalaya forte can counter arthritis with their analgesic (pain-killing) and anti-arthritic properties by targeting the causes of joint inflammation. They help shore up the joint’s connective tissues and ease the stiffness that make movement difficult.

There are dozens of kinds of arthritis that exist, and Rumalaya is indicated for several of them, including rheumatoid arthritis (swelling of the joint lining and its surrounding tissues); cervical and lumbar spondylosis (the cervix and spine are affected); osteoarthritis (breakdown of joint cartilage); arthralgia (non-inflammatory joint pain); gout (inflammation caused by excessive build-up of uric acid); frozen shoulder (pain, stiffness and loss of motion in the shoulder), and other inflammatory conditions that are caused by traumatic injuries like fibrositis, bursitis, synovitis, capsulitis, tenosynovitis, myositis, and sciatica.

Rumalaya gel is another form of arthritis treatment. It is a natural topical application with analgesic and anti-inflammatory action. Its rubefacient property enables it to be better absorbed by the skin, while penetrating deeply into the affected tissue. Rumalaya gel is indicated for joint pain, low back and muscular pain, and sprains for pain relief and easier joint movement. The Rumalaya tablet formulation is safe and causes no side-effects because of its natural herbal composition. It contains Mahayograj guggul (a traditional Indian arthritis remedy which contains astringent and antiseptic properties); Shankha bhsasma (a Conch Shell Calyx extract which is rich in iron, magnesium and calcium); purified Shilajeet or mineral pitch (with astringent and anti-inflammatory properties); Swarnamakshik bhasma or Chalcopyrites Calx (the main ore of copper used as a tonic for rheumatism), and Latakasthuri or musk mallow (an herb whose fatty oils have antiseptic properties).

Rumalaya forte also contains Shallaki or boswellia (an anti-inflammatory tree extract); Java galangal (a ginger-like rhizome with antimicrobial properties, Licorice (traditionally used as an overall body tonic), Small caltrops (an Ayurvedic herb that improves vitality), and Tinospora Gulancha (an herb with hormone stimulating action).

Rumalaya tablets and Rumalaya forte come in 60-pack tablets and capsules. The recommended intake is 1 to 2 tables two times a day. However, it is still recommended to consult your doctor for the correct dosage for your particular condition. Pregnant women and children under the age of 14 are not advised to take this medication.

Rumalaya gel, on the other hand is applied to the area of pain, 3 to 4 times a day. It can be used with Rumalaya tablets or Rumalaya forte to achieve more effective relief. It taken in the recommended dosage, this topical medication does bring any side-effects.

Rumalaya tables, Rumalaya forte and Rumalaya gel can be purchased online at the Himalaya Herbal Remedies website, and other affiliated sites that offer alternative herbal medicine.
